Juniors Achieve Fundamental Award Certificates


Congratulations to the members of Dumfries Blues Netball Club Junior One session who recently passed their fundamental netball skills awards for Level One and Level Three respectively.
The participants who range from P2 to P6 have been going through the award scheme learning various skills from movement, catching, throwing, pivoting and shooting. The assessments were completed by the assessor with Rachel Eccelston, Emily Hutton achieved level one certificates, and Kerra Grant, Jorja Lindsay, Ishbel Currie, Evie Coltart, Kloe Turner, Macey Zygadlo, Charlotte Conchie all achieving level three.
Club Chairperson Gillian McLeod said “The club would like to congratulate the girls of the Junior One sessions it really is a fantastic achievement. This is the first time delivering the award scheme and we can see the girls improving at every session and the certificates are evidence of that success.”
The Junior One sessions (P2-P6) are led by Bethany Hutton who is part funded by Holywood trust. Bethany is also coaching in secondary schools to encourage girls to be more active. The club also run sessions for P7 – S2 and S3 to seniors. All club sessions are on Mondays. If you are interested in joining or for more information please contact the club dumfriesblues@outlook.com.
